I paint people, memory and movement.

My work begins with drawing. Fast lines. Crosshatching. Marks that search for weight and tension. From there I build with colour and texture, layering emotion into the surface.

I’m drawn to the body as a record of experience. Strength and strain. Heritage and change. Music, landscape and memory sit side by side in my work because they sit side by side in life.

Some paintings lean into portraiture. Others stretch the figure, twist it, suspend it. I am interested in what we carry, physically and emotionally, and how that shows.

I want the work to feel honest.
